MerryHorses wrote about 1 month ago, Modified about 1 month ago I've begun a brand new book that will pair whimsical illustrations with heartfelt lessons learned from ordinary and amazing equines. When it is done it the proceeds will go directly back into this site so I can add features and increase its functionality for equine advocates everywhere. Below is a list of horses I'm considering including along with their amazing gift(s) to us all. I know I've missed some and would LOVE to get your ideas and thoughts. Famous horses, amazing ponies, imaginary equines YOU'VE encountered or been affected by. (They are not listed in any particular order) 1. Secretariat - amazing athleticsm 2. Cloud, the Stallion - wildly inspirational 3. Zippy Chippy - the thoroughbred who ran 100 races and didn't win 100 races - demonstrating optimism and perseverence and how you don't have to win to be a winner. 4. Gideon- the 3 legged wonder who stands for quiet strength and hope 5. Theodore the Connemera Pony who won the grueling and fantasticly difficult Rolex Three Day event against horses much larger than himself 6. Ferdy, son of Ferdinand the horse who won the 1986 Kentucky Derby and ended up as Japanese dogfood - Ferdy is now spokeshorse for the TRF 7. Lukas The World's Smartest Horse, another rescue Lukas and his partner Karen Murdoch have made it their passion to demonstrate to a sometimes skeptical world the intelligence of equines 8. Iota McHippus, the cheekiest little horse I ever met - big opinions can come in small packages 9. The Blue Mare - the 2060 Freestyle Dressage dancer 10. Unique the Unicorn - Magic is as real as we believe .....and others, please add YOUR IDEAS in the comments below and thank you!
